Want to win the car game? Send in Brady.
How do you make a campaign for the all-new Dodge Dart? First, write a slew of punchy ads. No, punchier. Good. Then drop cars from helicopters. Incite a zombie-pocalypse. Build time machines. Blow up those time machines. Add flamethrowers. Make lasers shoot out of a giant lizards' eye sockets. And slap the most badass song Kanye and Jay Z have ever recorded in their badass lives on it. Easy.
Now make a bunch of punchy :30s for each car feature. Enlist Travis Pastrana, a Space Traveler, and Godzilla to do it. Easy.
Dude, a banner ad?
I know! But it’s easily the most effective banner ad I’ve ever made. Made to look like a page takeover that cleverly referenced how annoying that was, then closed itself early and let people browse away. The metrics on how many click-throughs this simple piece of creative got was insane. Just goes to show, every brief is an opportunity.
